Hi Evening Rotary Club members!
This Saturday was our first service project activity, Habitat for Humanity, in Jeff City. We had a great time even though our muscles are a little sore today! Thanks to Harry Richter for arranging it! We had 8 of us onsite and another 3 or 4 members brought lunch for all of us to enjoy. The lunch was fantastic! Thank you and thanks to all who participated. Can we do it again Harry?
Even though an update will follow soon, I have a few things to cover now:
* Please bring your ads and money collected on Monday night! The deadline has arrived for turning it in to Bryan Pope or DJ.
* We'll talk about our Charter Night on Monday since this special night is almost here! Please plan on being at the Monroe Plaza Hotel in the Carnahan Room at 6:30 p.m. on April 20 If AT ALL POSSIBLE! We hope for a big turnout from us and from the other clubs. The registration fee is $10.00 per person and no charge for children.
* The District Conference is coming up soon! It's May 2 - 4 in Warrensburg. If you can't attend all of it, then plan to attend on that Saturday, May 4 if possible. We all can learn a lot from this opportunity! All of us are encouraged to attend it. Perhaps we can car pool together very early on that Saturday morning of May 4.
* Please bring your rummage Monday night to give to Harry and Suzanne Richter for the Jefferson City Day Care Center rummage sale that is being held on April 27.
We will be having another excellent program this Monday night. A presentation by the Historic City of Jefferson is planned. I hope to see you at 5:30 p.m. Do you have a guest that you can bring?
