Hello Evening Rotary Club Members!
This is a brief update on our activities while Brent is taking care of other matters:
- We had an excellent program that Rotarian and Judge Mary Russell provided on the appellate court system. Mary is one of 14 judges on the Appellate Court of the Eastern District in St. Louis.
- We need a chair in our club for the Polio Plus Campaign that will be receiving a lot of attention in our district. Our club will need to identify a dollar amount that we will pledge along with the other clubs toward the eradication of polio. Rotary has a goal of $80 million. Kevin Keith will work with the International Service Committee to identify a chair by May 20.
- We have a service project this Friday night, May 17 with the Special Learning Center. Suzanne Richter will have details for us this Monday night, May 13.
- On Monday, May 20 we are planning an International Night for our regularly scheduled club meeting. The International Service Committee is charged with planning this activity to include food from other countries, the dress of that culture and presentations about those countries.
- Our board will meet on May 20 after our International Night. We will be electing a club Secretary that night.
- Dues for this quarter are due by Monday, June 10!
- We will not be meeting on Monday, May 27 which is Memorial Day.
- Our program for Monday, May 13 is on Habitat for Humanity.
Remember: We need you and we need your help with recruiting new members! See you this Monday, May 13 at 5:30 p.m.
Yours in Rotary,
Vic
