=== Program for May 13, 2002 ===
A representative of Habitat for Humanity will address our club on May 13. As this has been a popular service project with Evening Rotary, we should have a great turnout for the meeting. The program will include a history of the organization, of the local chapter and ways to stay involved.
* See you Monday evening!
* Bring prospective Members!
* Program: Habitat for Humanity
=== May 20, 2002 Meeting Plans ===
Members of the club who were born in other countries will give a program on their native countries and their lives there on May 20. This promises to be a fascinating insight into other countries that we don't get in more traditional ways, so let's not only have a great turnout of members, but of prospective members. This program is being organized by the International Committee which will meet following the regular meeting tomorrow night.
=== May 6, 2002 Program ===
Kirkwood Rotarian Mary Rhodes Russell, one of 14 judges on the Missouri Eastern District Court of Appeals, gave an interesting program on the court and the cases it can and cannot take as set by the Constitution. Mary's program included a video produced during her term as chief justice on the court explaining the role of the court in appeals cases from circuit courts in the eastern district. We are grateful to Mary for sharing this information with our club.

'''President Vic announced:'''
* The 2003 District Convention will be May 1 - 3 in Jefferson City. He and Marianne Ronan attended this year's convention in Warrensburg. With Jeff City being the host city next year, he hopes for a great turnout from Evening Rotary Club members.
* Evening Rotary needs to name a Polio Plus chair. Rotary International's goal is to see polio completely eradicated worldwide by 2005, after one hundred years of working diligently through Polio Plus, one of Rotary's first programs after its founding in 1905. The organization has contributed more than a half a billion dollars to meet this admirable goal and needs another $80,000,000 to be successful. Each club will be asked to name the amount it will contribute to this goal by July 1. Kevin Keith, chair of Committee, said his committee would find a Polio Plus chair for the club.
