Rotary in the News:
It is great when the good news of Rotary makes the papers. RotaCare health clinics were recently recognized in the San Jose Mercury News. The first RotaCare clinic was formed in 1989 in Santa Clara, California to provide free medical care to those without access to medical services.
“Jobless Swell Clinic’s Rolls,” San Jose Mercury News (CA): by: Truong Phuoc Khanh
More Space is needed in Mountain View to serve the uninsured. The clientele is changing from the traditional working poor as the volunteer health care workers struggle to balance a shoestring budget and the growing ranks of people in the waiting room.

Women in Rotary The media is frequently interested in business and professional women making a difference in their communities. Out of the 30,000 clubs there are 20,313 clubs with women members. Take time to let your community know about women leaders in your club and the impact of Rotary around the world.

Does your professional association know you are involved in Rotary?
An objective of Rotary is the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional leaders united in the ideal of service. To encourage this goal, write about your involvement with Rotary in your business trade journals. Include examples of your vocational service efforts to your community.
