Program
Charles Machon from the Museum of Missouri Military History at the Ike Skelton National Guard Training Center. Museum opened in April 1999, and receives 2000-3000 visitors per year. It is open Monday-Friday 8-3, admission is free.
The museum contains artifacts dating back to the Revolutionary War. An interest aspect of the museum covers the Missouri Naval Militia, which guarded the state's rivers. A large portion of the museum's objects came from a guardsman from the WWI era who saved and catalogued EVERYTHING.
Charles and his assistant brought brochures and a number of artifacts which the club took time to view and discuss.
