Stephen (from the Jefferson City Breakfast Club) partricipated in a Group Study Exchange (GSE) with Japan in 1999, before he became a Rotarian. He shared pictures and anecdotes from his trip.
The next GSE team will go to India early next year. Applications are due by November 1 (info is on the district website.) There are often 12 applicants for the four positions open, so it is competitive. Four team members and two alternates are chosen.
He handed out information on Rotary Friendship Exchanges. These ate Rotarian-to-Rotarian exchanges, and may be organized as individuals or as a team. Tony Hiesberger shared his experience on a friendship exchange with England. He recommended looking at the RI website for lots of good information.
