My Fellow Rotarians:
I am chair of Habitat's annual fundraiser Chicken Dinner to be on Wednesday, October 1 at the Knights of Columbus, Tanner Bridge Road and Ellis Boulevard and am in need of volunteers to help serve dinner. There are two shifts, 3:45 - 5:30 p.m. or 5:15 - 7 p.m. I would be most grateful for your assistance as well as that of reliable friends,coworkers etc.!
We are also in need of a few more fruit pies to be sold at the dinner,either by the slice or by the pie. If you would like to donate one of two pies, please let me know.
I will be offering tickets for the dinner, $10 for adults, $4 for children, at future club meetings ( I am out of town tomorrow night) but if any of you want a quantity of tickets please let me know so I can be sure to have them for you. Or, if any of you are willing to sell them at your offices, please let me know.
As always, I appreciate your help. As you well know, this is a great cause. Habitat does not have its hand often for financial support from the community, so please give serious consideration to helping, either dishing up food or purchasing tickets, or both.
