Jefferson City Evening Rotarians enjoyed a variety of programs in July.
On July 6th, Tom Nield gave a presentation on his military duty in Kosovo. Along with a Power Point presentation he gave an update on the challenges still facing the people of Kosovo.
July 13th found Evening Rotarians walking the streets of downtown Jefferson City with Dottye Dallmeyer. Dallmeyer gave a presentation on the history of the businesses.
July 20th Evening Rotarians met in their committees to set goals for the Presidential Citation challenge given by RI president Glenn Estess Sr.
The final program of July was given by Janet Branson. Bryce, a volunteer from the Samaritan Center, discussed the service opportunities for Rotary. The center is always in need of food, coats, hats, mittens, holiday related items for children, and volunteers to help distribute these items.
August programs will include presentations given by a RYLA candidate and the current Outbound Foreign Exchange student on August 3. August 10th will be the Visitor’s Bureau.
Jefferson City Evening Rotary meets every Tuesday from 5:30-6:30. Evening Rotary meets at Grace Episcopal Church on the corner of High and Adams. Interested persons may contact President Harry Richter at 893-5607.
