Our meeting August 13th will include a program Suzanne Richter about Manner Classes presented at the Missouri Governor’s Mansion and be the second fund raising pre meeting meal hosted by Cathy Libey @ 5:30PM. So come Hungry! There will also be a board meeting following the regular meeting.

At last week meeting our members participated in a club assembly on membership. George Hartsfield led the meeting which resulted in 49 potential member leads to pursue. Also club members have been assigned to encourage the few current members with poor attendance to become more active. Remember it is everyone responsibility to find new Rotarians.

Four Jefferson City Evening Rotarians participated in the City-wide Rotary Social at Summit Lake Winery on September 8th. Remember Our Club will be hosting the event in October, November & December. This is tough duty which involves being at the winery with a sign in sheet at 5:00 PM the second Tuesday of the month. We will be asking for voluntaries for the task.

Thanks to Suzanne Richter, Harry Richter, Frank Rycyk, Jim Chilcutt, Mulima Walusiku, Dottye Dallmeyer, Cathy Libey & Jim Libey for trash pickup on Jefferson City Evening Rotary’s stretch of Highway 179. The group collected trash on the south bound lane last Saturday and we will schedule another pick up date soon to clean the north bound lane.

A Rotary Foundation Sustaining Member is an individual who has made a minimum initial contribution of $100.00 to the Annual Programs Fund of The Rotary Foundation and has stated in writing his/her intentions of making minimum contributions of $100.00 or more per year thereafter to the Annual Programs Fund of The Rotary Foundation. After donating $100.00 per year for 10 years, he/she becomes a Paul Harris Fellow.   Paul Harris Fellows can also be Rotary Foundation Sustaining Members.
